I paint outside frequently. I painted all of these in different areas, some in Tennessee and some in Massachusetts. Painting outside is very different from painting in the studio, or from photos. There is an immediacy to the work because I have to find a pleasing composition in what I see, and then get it down fast before the light changes too much.
