I sketched this scene and painted the background while I was sitting outside Papa Turney's Barbecue Restaurant on Percy Priest Lake Marina. I was waiting for the musicians to gather so I could sketch and photograph them. The sunset scene was so lovely that I painted it first! I paint on location a lot all around Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
